About UsAkon M. Walker, MPA is a Los Angeles, California native, exploring her options in a new career in inspirational writing. Akon has several years of experience working in the non-profit and government sectors to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and families within unserved and underserved communities. She has written numerous of public agency policies and procedures, local policies for county government, and numerous local analyses on topics related to health care for leaders of local government.
Akon displays her commitment to community service by serving on local boards and commissions including: the Solano Commission for Women and Girls, the Solano Continuum of Care Advisory Board, and the Solano Local Childcare Planning Council. She also serves as the Director of Ministers at Covenant Church in Berkeley, California, under the wisdom and guidance of Bishop K.R. Woods. She enjoys providing guidance and support to the local clergy regarding their spiritual formation and calling discernment. In 2004, Akon M. Walker earned a B.A. in Integrative Biology from University of California, Berkeley. In 2010, Akon earned her Masters of Public Administration (MPA), from California State University, East Bay. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity (MDiv) from Fuller Theological Seminary. Akon resides in the Bay Area with her wonderful husband of fifteen years. |

Akon loves music, and musical instruments! In her down time, you will find Akon either making up an amateur musical arrangement on her keyboard, or playing a karaoke game on her game consol. She also enjoys golf, shopping, and preparing scrumptious meals for family and friends.
